[avahi] Performance testing

Hi,

I am new to using Avahi and was curious if anyone had performed performance
testing of an mDNS, DNS-SD service. The metrics I was interested in were
number of nodes, link types (ethernet vs 802.11), bandwidth utilzation as
number of nodes increase, etc.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

There are quite a lot of papers you can find on this topic.

In theory DNS-SD should scale well with mDNS over ethernet. 802.11 is a
complete different thing and strongly dependent on the AP/router
hardware and configuration e.g. node to node communication might be
disabled for security reasons.
