All,
I am testing Bonjour Conformance Test over Ethernet. All sub test were
passed for Link local, but mDNS subsequent conflict is failing.
Test Scenario:
"The test tool waits for ten seconds, and then issues an mDNS response
conflicting with the host name the device is using. When the device
re-issues its probe for that host name, the test tool again sends its
conflicting response, and verifies that the device picks a new host name
and probes/announces again. It is a warning if the device selects a new
host name without first probing for its original name."
Device under test is able to pick up new host name but not sending
probe/announcement after name conflict change. So, test tool generates
warning for three times and finally fails the test FAILED: SUBSEQUENT
CONFLICT - SRV.
BCT version is 1.3.1
Avahi package is 0.6.32.
Is this bug with avahi package? Is there any specific configuration that
needs to set in avahi-daemon.conf? Does avahi 0.6.32 passes all the Bonjour
Conformance Test?
Current avahi daemon conf settings:
[server]
#host-name=foo
